The school competition on development policy
"all for ONE WORLD for all" - this is the motto of the biennial School Competition on Development Policy that calls on pupils of all ages, school types and subjects throughout Germany and at German schools abroad to participate.
Are you interested in global topics, such as fair trade, sustainable consumption or climate change? Do you have ideas on how to make tomorrow's world fairer and more equitable for all people? Then convince your fellow pupils and teachers and join in!
The goal of the school competition is to offer young people a platform for sustainable project ideas concerning EINE WELT (ONE WORLD) and in this way to support engagement with development policy topics in school lessons and everyday life.
Each round of the competition has a special topic that is announced on the website of the school competition before the start of the respective round. The next round will start at the beginning of the school year 2023/2024!

Participation in the School Competition on Development Policy supports the discussion of development policy topics in school lessons. Pupils are motivated to develop sustainable and creative project ideas about EINE WELT (ONE WORLD).
Pupils of every age, in every class and in every subject from all over Germany and from German schools abroad can participate. Participation in pupil teams is possible - teams can be two people, a whole class, project group or even the whole school.
Competition entries can be submitted in any conceivable form: be it text, photos, film, art work, theatre plays, music, posters or digital work – every thought on EINE WELT (ONE WORLD) counts!
Prizes worth a total of more than 50,000 euros are up for grabs. Schools that successfully apply for the school prize will be awarded cash prizes worth a total of 25,000 euros. Four entries will be awarded the NGO’s special prize under the title "Bearers of Hope". Each participant will receive a certificate with his/her name on it. In addition, delegations of the winning entries will be invited to the award ceremony to receive their prize in person.
The school competition on development policy "alle für EINE WELT für alle" (all for ONE WORLD for all) is organised by Engagement Global gGmbH - Service für Entwicklungsinitiativen on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and under the patronage of the Federal President.
The Song Contest "Dein Song für EINE WELT!" (Your song for ONE WORLD) was first held to accompany the School Competition on Development Policy in 2015.
