The song contest “Dein Song für EINE WELT!” (Your song for ONE WORLD) serves to accompany the School Competition on Development Policy “alle für EINE WELT für alle” (all for ONE WORLD for all) in a supporting capacity and is organised by Engagement Global gGmbH – Service für Entwicklungsinitiativen on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Engagement Global is the contact partner in Germany for development policy awareness, both throughout Germany and internationally. Since 1 January 2012, Engagement Global has brought together institutions, initiatives and programmes that are actively engaged in development policy in order to promote global cooperation.
For children and young adults, it is particularly important to view the world from broader perspectives, and to understand what matters to people in other countries. Under the slogan “Global Learning”, the initiatives organised by Engagement Global support pupils and teachers in achieving a better understanding of global contexts and to work towards achieving a more just world.

The BMZ develops guidelines and concepts on German development policy. It determines the long-term strategies for cooperation with the various stakeholders and defines rules for their implementation. Based on this underlying policy work, shared projects are subsequently developed with partnering countries involved in German development cooperation and with international organisations engaged in driving development policy.
The website of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) provides further information on the human right to education and on further important issues.
