The 17 sustainable development goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were agreed in 2015 by the General Assembly of the United Nation in New York.
The 17 SDGs are defined in the so-called Agenda 2030. It is a kind of roadmap towards achieving a sustainable change in our planet.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are expressly addressed to all countries of the world. For one thing is sure: reducing poverty and hunger, improving health, creating equality, enabling education for all and protecting the planet are only possible together.
The 17 goals address five dimensions of sustainable development: people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership – the so-called five P’s. Therefore, it is a question of enabling economic progress while always considering social justice and peace as well as the ecological limits of our planet. To do so all countries of our ONE WORLD must collaborate as partners.
