After an intensive session, the 1st main jury has chosen the winning songs of the current round of the Song Contest "Dein Song für EINE WELT!" (Your song for ONE WORLD). The album places, special and recognition prizes were chosen, as well as the best 5 song that are still in the running for the title of EINE WELT song (ONE WORLD song): "На світло" (Zum Licht) by Mashuka from Neuhausen / Erzgebirge, "Keine Gewinner" by ILDIKO from Wernigerode, "Zugpferde" by Liuz from Berlin, "A Letter To My Girl" by Neele & Joci from Arnstadt und "Kinder der Welt" by Shayla & Filo from Berlin.
It was not an easy decision for the jury, because the songs were all convincing in their diversity and strength of content. The jurors were impressed both by the topics dealt with in the songs and by the depth of the musical examination of them. The winners of the fourth round of the Song Contest have now been announced. The jury awarded 20 places for the EINE WELT album (ONE WORLD album) Vol. 5, which will be released in spring 2024. They also nominated five songs that will compete for the title of EINE WELT song in a final decision on 9 December 2023.
Three special prizes were awarded
The jury also awarded three special prizes. Jhamil Amn from Senegal won the special prize for Africa with the song "Thiafka Ndox". The song "unity" by the joint music project Dreams from Morocco and Germany was awarded the special prize "Partnership Cooperation". And the special prize "Best Song Lyrics" went to X-Five from Dreieich for his song "Future Memories (Peace is near)". The Song Contest team congratulates all winners and thanks all participants for their commitment to our ONE WORLD!
